仙台 本格的にサンマの入荷始まる 去年より水揚げ量多い見込み
秋の味覚、サンマの入荷が仙台市の中央卸売市場で18日から本格的に始まり、市場によりますと、近年、不漁が続くサンマですが、ことしは去年より水揚げ量が多くなる見込みだということです。
18日朝、仙台市若林区の卸売市場に入荷したのは、16日、北海道根室市の花咲港で水揚げされた生のサンマおよそ13トンで、去年の倍以上でした。
18日はまず、入荷されたばかりのサンマを使ったつみれ汁が仲買人など市場関係者たちにふるまわれました。
そして、競りが始まると威勢のよい掛け声が飛ぶ中、次々と競り落とされていきました。
市場の関係者によりますと、ことしのサンマは、餌となるプランクトンの量が豊富だったことなどから脂がのっていて、ここ10年間で最も大きいサイズだということです。
つみれ汁を試食した仲買人の男性は「サンマの風味が広がっておいしいです。例年より大漁の入荷で、大きいサンマが提供できるのでうれしく思っています」と話していました。
仙台中央卸売市場遠海部の本郷淳部長は、「ことしは“奇跡のサンマ”と言えるぐらい大きいサイズのサンマが入ったと思う。ぜひ、塩焼きなどで楽しんでほしい」と話していました。
