「立山黒部アルペンルート」 4月の開通に向け除雪作業始まる
北アルプスの山岳観光ルート「立山黒部アルペンルート」では4月の開通に向けて11日から除雪作業が始まりました。
富山県と長野県を結ぶ「立山黒部アルペンルート」は、冬の間は閉鎖され、毎年この時期から富山県や運営会社などでつくる組合が、雪に埋もれた道路の除雪作業を始めます。
11日は午前10時ごろに組合の作業員が、富山県立山町にある道路を閉鎖していたゲートを開け、大型の除雪車で作業を始めました。
組合によりますと、ことしは例年より雪が多く、ゲート付近の積雪は2メートルを超えていて、ここ10年では最も多くなったということです。
今後は大型の除雪車22台を稼働させ、標高2450メートルの室堂までのおよそ31キロの区間で除雪を進める予定です。
「立山黒部アルペンルート」では、除雪した車道の両側に雪の壁がそびえ立つ「雪の大谷」と呼ばれる独特の景観が人気を集めていて、ことしは4月15日の全面開通を目指すことにしています。
除雪組合の事務局を務める富山県道路公社は「先週の大雪の影響もあって除雪の開始が遅れたが、4月の開通に向けて安全に作業を進めていきたい」と話しています。
