UAE＝アラブ首長国連邦のドバイの情報当局は2月28日、高級住宅やホテルなどが建ち並ぶヤシの木をかたどった巨大な人工島「パーム・ジュメイラ」で建物火災が発生したと発表しました。
イランが中東各地にあるアメリカ軍の基地などに報復攻撃を行う中、中東の衛星テレビ局アルジャジーラはドバイでも爆発音が聞こえたなどと伝えています。
パーム・ジュメイラに住む住民の1人はNHKの取材に対し、この火災の影響で住民らが避難していると話していました。
