8日の大雨で名古屋市内を流れる植田川の水があふれた名古屋市名東区の川沿いの地域では朝早くから、水につかった車の様子を確かめる住民の姿が見られました。

8日、川の水があふれる様子を撮影した男性は「家の周りにも腰の高さまで水が上がってきた」などと話していました。

また、川沿いの路上にはあふれた水に流された車が止まっていたり、道路のアスファルトがはがれたりしていました。
