ロシア国防省は、ウクライナ中部にあるJT＝日本たばこ産業の海外の子会社の工場について、「ウクライナ軍への弾薬を製造している」と主張し、攻撃したと発表しました。会社側はNHKの取材に対し、「従業員は全員無事だ」とした上で、「軍事関係の生産に関与したことは一度もない」などと反論しました。

ロシア国防省は7日、SNSでウクライナ各地にある防衛関係の企業や港湾施設などに対し、ミサイルや無人機での大規模な攻撃を行ったと発表しました。

この中で、中部ポルタワ州にあるJT＝日本たばこ産業の海外の子会社であるJTインターナショナルの工場について、「ウクライナ軍への弾薬を製造している」と主張し、攻撃したと明らかにしています。

これについて、JTインターナショナルのウクライナにある事務所は7日、NHKの取材に対し、「当社は、たばこ製品の製造や販売を行っており、軍事関係の生産に関与したことは一度もない」などと反論しました。

また、工場はこれまでに数回にわたって攻撃を受けていて、今回の攻撃を受ける以前から操業を停止していたと説明しました。

そのうえで「安全上の理由で詳細は答えられないが、従業員は全員無事だ」と明らかにしました。

ウクライナにある日本大使館は、「今回の攻撃で日本人が巻き込まれたという情報はない」としています。
