2023年に注目すべき電気自動車 BMW「iX1」
確かにフラッグシップとなる高級モデル「i7」はBMWの広告塔にはなるだろうが、ブランド全体にとって23年には「iX1」のほうが重要な存在になるだろう。なぜかいえば、BMWのEVを象徴する存在として販売終了が惜しまれた「i3」に代わるエントリーモデルとなるのは「iX1」だからだ。

納車は23年初頭に予定され、米国での価格は82,900ドル（約1,100万円）からとなる見通しだ。デュアルモーター仕様の「iX1 xDrive30」は最大出力が313hpで、容量64.7kWhのバッテリーによるWLTP基準の航続距離は最大272マイル（約438km）となる。最大出力130kWのDC充電を利用すれば、バッテリー残量10％から80％まで29分で充電可能で、わずか10分の充電で航続距離を75マイル（約121km）伸ばすことも可能だ。
決め手はデザインだろう。デザインを巧みにアレンジしたことで、おもちゃのようなクルマは屈強なSUVへと変貌を遂げることに成功している。
