電動二輪車発火でシェアサービス停止 千葉市の実証実験に影響
今月、東京 江戸川区でシェアサービスで使われている電動二輪車から火が出るトラブルがあり、同じ型の車両を使ってサービスを提供している事業者が都内や千葉県などでの利用を停止したことを受けて、千葉市で行われている実証実験にも影響が出ています。
東京 江戸川区西葛西で今月5日、駐輪場に止まっていたシェアサービスの電動二輪車から突然火が出て、車体やラックの一部が焼けました。
周辺の建物や人への被害はなかったということで、消防などが原因を調べています。
火が出たのはリチウムイオン電池を搭載して電動モーターで走る二輪車で、一部の電動キックボードと同じ「特定小型原動機付自転車」に含まれ、16歳以上は運転免許がなくても乗ることができますが、最高速度は時速20キロに上ります。
事業者やメーカーによりますと、同じ型の電動二輪車は、都内と千葉県、埼玉県で合わせておよそ1500台がシェアサービスとして提供されていて、事業者はいずれも利用をいったん停止し、回収したうえで安全確認を行うということです。
千葉市ではこの事業者と連携して去年1月から公共施設など250か所余りで合わせて400台ほどを有料でシェアする実証実験を行っています。
市によりますと、実証実験の開始から1年で延べ1万人以上が利用するなどニーズが高いことから、事業者の安全確認を踏まえて再開について検討するとしています。
メーカーの広報担当者は「ご迷惑をおかけして申し訳ない。詳細は調査中だが、出火した状況の把握と原因の究明を進めていきたい」としています。
