ソニーホンダ、EV第1弾「AFEELA 1」発売中止　ホンダ戦略変更のため

ソニー・ホンダモビリティ(SHM)は25日、開発を進めていたバッテリEVの第1弾モデル「AFEELA 1」と第2弾モデルの開発と発売の中止を発表した。 SHMは2022年9月の会社設立以来、ソニーとホンダの両社の技術や知見、開発力を融合し、高付加価値モビリティの開発・販売と、モビリティ向けサービスの提供を目指してきた。しかし、3月12日に発表されたホンダの四輪電動化戦略の見直しに伴い、当初の事業計画策定時にホンダからの提供を前提としていた技術やアセットの活用が困難な状況となったという。 そのため、両モデルをこれまでの企画通りに商品化するのは難しいと判断、今回の決定に至った。第1弾モデル「AFEELA 1」は、2026年内の納車開始を目指し、すでに米国カリフォルニア州で予約受付開始していたが、予約金は全額返金する。 日本においても「AFEELA 1」の2027年の納車開始を予定していたが、見送られる。SHMの今後の事業の方向性については、両親会社と連携して協議を継続していく。
