最高気温40度以上の日 新名称は？ ことし夏から使用へ 気象庁
地球温暖化などの影響で毎年のように記録的な暑さになっていることを受けて、気象庁は、最高気温が40度以上となった日に名称をつけることを決めました。アンケートで意見を募ったうえで専門家の意見も踏まえて決定し、ことしの夏から使用することにしています。
気象庁によりますと、地球温暖化などの影響で毎年のように40度を超える気温を観測していて、去年の夏は群馬県で国内最高気温の41.8度を観測したほか40度以上を観測した地点数ものべ30地点にのぼるなど、記録的な暑さになりました。
気象庁は現在、最高気温が25度以上の日を「夏日」、30度以上の日を「真夏日」、35度以上の日を「猛暑日」としていますが、危険な暑さへの注意を呼びかけるために、40度以上の日にも名称をつけることを決めました。
来月末までホームページでアンケートを行い「炎暑日」や「酷暑日」、「超猛暑日」など、13の名称案に加えて自由記述の欄も設け、広く意見を募ることにしています。
