JTは、10月1日からの加熱式たばこに係る課税方式の見直しに伴い、Ploom用たばこスティックの値上げについて、認可申請を財務大臣に対し行なった。認可が得られた際は10月1日に価格改定を実施する。
エボブランド、メビウスブランド、キャメルブランドの全31銘柄を改定。エボは現行580円から改定後620円に、メビウスは550円から590円に、キャメルは530円から570円に、それぞれ40円値上げする。
加熱式たばこの増税は消費者への影響を鑑み、26年に2段階で実施される。すでに4月に引き上げられており、10月に再度引き上げられることとなる。Ploom用たばこスティックは4月の増税時に30円の値上げを行なっており、3月までの価格との比較では70円の値上げとなる。
