この中でトランプ大統領はイランでの軍事作戦について「イランは159隻の艦艇を保有する大きな海軍があったが、わずか3日のうちにすべて海底に沈んだ」などと主張しました。

また、「バイデン前政権がアメリカ史上最悪のインフレをもたらした」などと主張し、民主党を批判しました。

アメリカの政治情報サイト「リアル・クリア・ポリティクス」によりますと、各種世論調査の平均では、トランプ大統領の政権運営を「支持する」と答えた人は、10月16日時点で、38.7％にとどまり、50％を超えていた2025年1月の政権発足直後から落ち込んでいます。

有力紙ウォール・ストリート・ジャーナルは、民主党は、トランプ大統領の支持率の低さとイラン情勢を背景にした経済への懸念を追い風に、共和党が地盤とする地域にまで攻勢を強める一方、共和党はこうした地域で議席を守るために巨額の資金を投じざるを得なくなっているなどと指摘しています。
