シチズンは、「The CITIZEN（ザ・シチズン）」の30周年を記念した限定モデルを発表した。年差±5秒の高精度光発電エコ・ドライブムーブメントを搭載し、移ろいゆく自然の情景の美しい一瞬を、土佐和紙を用いた文字盤で表現する「IconicNatureCollection（アイコニックネイチャー コレクション）」から、「TheCITIZEN」30周年記念限定モデルとして、2モデル世界限定各400本を5月15日から発売する。
「ザ・シチズン」の「アイコニックネイチャー コレクション」から、ブランド誕生30周年を記念して発売するのは、日本人ならではの繊細な感覚に着想を得て、移ろいゆく自然の美しい一瞬を和紙文字盤の中に描き出した世界限定各400本の2モデルだ。
「春の明け方の情景」を切り取った「AQ4106-00A」は、白々と明けゆく早朝に柔らかな雲がたなびくさまを、 ⻑い繊維を漉き込んだ独特の模様をもつ雲龍紙に、空にも桜にも見える繊細な色彩を載せて表現した。
「夏の夜の情景」を切り取った「AQ4100-22L」は、川の水面に映る月明かりの美しさを、ジャパンブルーが印象的な藍染和紙にグラデーションを重ねて表現。川のほとりに飛び交う蛍の光跡を思わせるゴールドの秒針とともに、夏の夜の静謐さも感じる1本に仕上がっている。
いずれも、年差±5秒の高精度エコ・ドライブムーブメントを搭載。ケースには軽量で耐傷性に優れたスーパーチタニウム、ストラップには LWG（レザーワーキンググループ）認証を受けたタンナー（製革業者）で生産されたワニ革を使用。文字盤、りゅうず、裏ぶたに配したイーグルマークは、「常に先を見据え、理想を追求する」「身に着ける方に永く寄り添う」という「ザ・シチズン」の意思を表している。
