北陸新幹線延伸で始まる「ハピラインふくい」、ICOCA導入
福井県で、2024年3月16日開業予定の「ハピラインふくい」は、交通系ICカード「ICOCA」を導入する。

同社は、3月16日の北陸新幹線福井・敦賀開業に伴い、JR西日本から移管される北陸本線(敦賀駅～大聖寺駅)の運行を担う第三セクター会社。北陸本線の県内区間は、乗車人員が約20,000人/日となる
開業にあわせて、ICOCAはシステムを導入し、交通系ICカード全国相互利用サービスを開始。利用可能区間はハピラインふくい全線(敦賀駅～大聖寺駅間)。また、同日からハピラインふくいオリジナルデザインICOCAを発売する。
ICOCAカードのデザインコンセプトは、「ロゴの三角やひし形を組み合わせ、恐竜が歩いている姿を表現。日々の通勤・通学やご旅行が楽しくなるようなデザイン」としている。発売場所は、ハピラインふくい 芦原温泉駅、福井駅、鯖江駅、武生駅の窓口と券売機、敦賀駅(ハピラインふくいお客さまカウンター)の窓口。
