“コアモデル”の進化に注目だ！
4月14日、日産自動車は、新しい長期ビジョン「モビリティの知能化で、毎日を新たな体験に」を発表した。 新しい長期ビジョンは、AIディファインドビークル（AIDV）を中核に据え、クルマの知能化と電動化を力強く推進していく同社の新たな羅針盤だ。将来的にラインアップの約9割にAIドライブ技術を搭載し、商品の選択肢を拡充しながらも商品ポートフォリオ全体を45車種へ最適化する方針が示された。 新たな商品群を牽引する新型車のひとつとして初公開されたのが、新型エクストレイル／ローグ e‑POWERだ。 新型エクストレイルおよび北米を中心とする兄弟車であるローグは、日産の新しい商品ポートフォリオにおいて“コアモデル”に位置付けられている。グローバルな規模と安定性によって日産の事業そのものを支える中核を担うクルマであるのだ。 最大の特徴は、日産独自の電動モーター駆動システム「e-POWER」の採用。外部からの充電の手間を必要とせず、搭載されたエンジンを発電のみに使用し、100%モーターで車輪を駆動する。ハイブリッド車ならではの高いエネルギー効率と、電気自動車（EV）特有のレスポンスに優れた軽快かつシームレスな走りを両立した。
