東日本大震災で拠点移し養殖 銀ざけの水揚げ始まる 鳥取 境港
東日本大震災で被災し、宮城県から鳥取県境港市に拠点を移した水産会社が養殖した銀ざけの今シーズンの水揚げが始まりました。
境港市の「弓ヶ浜水産」は、東日本大震災で、宮城県女川町にあった養殖施設が被災したため、14年前に境港市に拠点を移し、美保湾の沖合、およそ3キロの生けすで銀ざけを養殖しています。
今シーズンも水揚げが始まり、岸壁に横付けした生けすから、銀ざけが次々にポンプで吸い上げられると、従業員たちが鮮度を保つために血抜きなどをして生け締めにしていきました。
会社によりますと、今シーズンは、海水での養殖期間を延ばしたことなどから、去年よりも成育がよく、初日に水揚げされた、およそ5000匹の平均のサイズは、体長が43センチ、重さが1.6キロになったということです。
作業は5月中旬まで行われ、今シーズンは、去年よりも50トン多い、およそ1650トンの水揚げを見込んでいるということです。
水揚げされた銀ざけは、関西を中心に全国に出荷されます。
会社の養殖担当の森田亮さんは「まるまるとしているので、脂がしっかり乗っていると思う。ぜひ手に取ってもらいたい」と話していました。
