トランプ大統領 “日本の自動車貿易は不公平 原油など購入を”
アメリカのトランプ大統領は関税措置をめぐる日本との交渉に関連して、日本からの自動車の輸入が多い一方、アメリカからの輸出は少ないとして「公平ではない」と述べました。その上で、貿易赤字の削減に向けて日本はアメリカ産のエネルギー資源などの購入を増やすべきだという考えを示しました。
トランプ政権の関税措置をめぐる日米の交渉では、アメリカが輸入する自動車に課している25％の追加関税の取り扱いが焦点となっています。
これについてトランプ大統領は29日に放送されたFOXニュースのインタビューで、日本側に対し、自動車への関税は25％だと書簡で通告することも可能だという認識を示した上で、アメリカは日本から多くの自動車を輸入しているのに対し、アメリカから日本への輸出は少ないとして「これは公平ではない」と述べました。
また「私は日本にそのことを説明した。彼らは理解している」と述べ、自動車への関税措置について容易に譲歩するつもりはないとの姿勢を改めて示しました。
その上で、トランプ大統領は、アメリカが日本との間で巨額の貿易赤字を抱えていると指摘し「日本は大量の原油を受け入れることができるし、ほかの多くのものを買うこともできる」と述べ、アメリカ産のエネルギー資源などの購入を増やすべきだという考えを強調しました。
