小笠原諸島「海徳海山」周辺海域の噴火警報を解除 気象庁
小笠原諸島の海底火山「海徳海山」周辺の海域に出されていた噴火警報について、気象庁は噴火の可能性は低くなったとして解除しました。
小笠原諸島の硫黄島の北にある海底火山、「海徳海山」付近では3年前に海水の変色や浮遊物が確認され、気象庁は海底噴火が発生する可能性があるとして周辺の海域に噴火警報を発表していました。
その後、衛星や航空機で観測を続けてきましたが、おととし1月を最後に、目立った海面の変色や、軽石など噴火に伴う浮遊物は見られなくなったということです。
このため気象庁は周辺の海域に影響を及ぼす噴火が発生する可能性は低くなったとして、14日午前11時に噴火警報を解除しました。
これに伴い、海上保安庁が周辺の海域に出していた航行警報も解除されました。
気象庁は、引き続き活火山であることに留意するよう呼びかけています。
