国連「ガザ地区でイスラエルがジェノサイド」報告書発表
国連人権理事会の調査委員会は16日、パレスチナのガザ地区でイスラエルがパレスチナ人に対するジェノサイド、集団殺害を行っているとする報告書を発表し、イスラエル側は激しく反発しています。
国連人権理事会の調査委員会は16日、おととし10月にパレスチナのガザ地区でイスラエルとイスラム組織ハマスの戦闘が始まってからことし7月までの人権状況について報告書を発表しました。
このなかで調査委員会は、ジェノサイド条約に基づいて法的に評価した結果、6万人以上のパレスチナ人の殺害や、強制的な移住、人道支援物資の搬入の阻止などイスラエル側による行為はジェノサイド、集団殺害にあたると結論づけました。
イスラエル当局や軍がガザ地区のパレスチナ人を破壊する意図をもっていると指摘しています。
また、イスラエルのネタニヤフ首相が過去に行ったテレビ演説の発言などから、ジェノサイドを扇動したとしています。
これに対し、ジュネーブに駐在するイスラエル政府代表部のメロン大使は16日、「イスラエルは調査委員会が発表した暴言を断固として拒否する。この報告書は、ハマスの虚偽の情報に基づくものだ」などと激しく反発しました。
グテーレス事務総長「容認できない」
国連のグテーレス事務総長は16日の記者会見で「私たちは今、地域の大規模な破壊、ガザ市の組織的な破壊を目の当たりにしている。これは倫理的にも政治的にも法的にも容認できない」と強く非難しました。
また、イスラエルが今月9日にイスラム組織ハマスを標的にカタールで攻撃を行ったことについて「イスラエルが停戦と人質の解放に向けた真剣な交渉に関心があるようには見えない」と述べ、対応を改めるよう促しました。
その上で2国家共存による和平を推進する首脳級の国連の会議を22日に控え「パレスチナの人たちを権利のない状態で服従させる解決策は絶対に容認できないことをイスラエルは理解しなければならない。平和を維持するためのただ1つの現実的な選択肢が2国家共存だ」と強調しました。
