トライアルホールディングス傘下のSTリテールは、トライアルと西友の強みを融合した新フォーマットの第2号店「トライアル西友武蔵新城店」を、2月27日にオープンした。所在地は神奈川県川崎市、アクセスはJR南武線 武蔵新城駅から徒歩3分。 トライアル西友は、トライアルのITを活用したスマートな購買体験、西友の都市型立地、両社のプライベートブランドなどの強みを活かした品揃えを特徴とする、「“おいしい食”と“便利な買い物体験”の融合」を謳う新しいフォーマットの店舗。1号店として東京都小平市に「トライアル西友花小金井店」を25年11月にオープンした。 花小金井店は、業態転換後2カ月間(25年12月1日～26年1月31日)の実績として、前年同期比で売上高約42%増、客数約36%増と伸長した。同店では、トライアルグループが開発したセルフレジ機能付き買い物カート「レジカート」を導入。そのほか、生鮮・惣菜を中心とした売場面積の拡大やプロモーションの強化、2階フロアへの送客強化、九州ご当地メニューの提案(トライアルは福岡発の小売業)、インストアサイネージの活用などに取り組んだ。トライアルのノウハウを活用した業態転換が、西友既存店の売場価値向上と集客強化に繋がったとしている。 武蔵新城店でも、レジカートやインストアサイネージなどのデジタル技術と、品質管理ノウハウ等の導入を通じ、持続可能なローコストオペレーションの確立を目指す。また、“九州愛”をテーマとした商品も提供する。 今後、トライアル西友は、2029年6月期までに30店舗の展開を目指す。 トライアル西友武蔵新城店は24時間営業・年中無休。所在地は神奈川県川崎市中原区上新城2-12-1、店舗面積は約1,207坪、商品数は約28,000品目。
