GMOメイクショップ、日本郵便、JPデジタル、Packcity Japanの4社は、再配達の削減や物流負荷の低減を目的として、「デジタルアドレス」を活用しさまざまな荷物の受け取り方法を提供する実証事業を11月から開始する。
EC市場の拡大と物流業界が逼迫している課題により、ロッカー受け取りなど幅広い受け取り方法への期待が高まる一方、EC事業者にとっては導入・連携のハードルが高いなど、普及への課題も明らかになっている。また具体的な受け取り場所がわかりづらいなどインターフェース上の課題も指摘されている。
今回の実証事業では、GMOメイクショップが「makeshop byGMO」などで構築されたECサイト上での受け取り体験の設計・実装を担当。デジタルアドレスを活用することで、全国約7,000カ所に設置されたスマートロッカー「PUDOステーション」をはじめ、さまざまな受け取り方法と、体験の向上を検証する。受け取り場所を共通的に扱うための基盤として「デジタルアドレス」の有効性や拡張性を検証していく。
