ヤマップ、北海道でもアプリで登山届
ヤマップと北海道警察は、登山届に関する「遭難ZERO協定」を締結した。登山アプリ「YAMAP」で、登山届を警察に提出可能になる。

北海道で2024年に発生した山岳遭難は129件(前年比15件減)、163人(前年比9人減)で昨年より減少しているものの、引き続き高止まりが続いている。
登山者は事前に登山の計画を立てるが、それを登山口に設置されている登山届ポストで専用書類に記入して提出したり、事前に郵送などで北海道警察に提出する必要がある。こうした手続は登山者にとって二度手間になっていた。
また人があまり行かない低山ではそもそも登山届ポストが設置されていないケースもある。低山だから大丈夫という登山者の気の緩みも登山届の提出率が低い理由に繋がっているという。
YAMAPは、事前にコースタイムを自動計算して登山計画が作成可能で、「YAMAPに登山計画を提出する」を押すと、家族など(緊急連絡先)に計画を共有できる提出機能が備わっている。今回の協定により、YAMAPに登山計画を提出すると、北海道警察へも共有されるようになる。
YAMAPは日本全国25,000座以上の山情報を収録し、登山届ポストがないような里山や低山にも対応する。
これにより登山者の手間が省けて利便性が上がる一方、北海道警察は把握できる登山届の数が大幅にアップすることが見込まれる。同様の協定は全国で締結されており、今回の事例は29例目。
「遭難ZEROプロジェクト」とは、「遭難者の位置情報に関する連携」「捜索現場で役立つ機能の提供」などを軸に、消防機関と連携して山岳遭難事故を減らす取組み。「登山届に関する連携」も含め、警察機関や自治体とも連携先を拡大している。
