米アイダホ州 消防士が銃撃され2人死亡 武器と男の遺体発見
アメリカ西部アイダホ州で29日、山火事の通報を受けて駆けつけた消防士が何者かに銃撃され、2人が死亡しました。地元の捜査当局は銃撃が続いているとしていましたが、その後、山の中で武器とともに男の遺体を発見したと発表しました。
アイダホ州の地元の捜査当局によりますと29日、北部コーダレーンにある山で火災が発生したという通報を受けて消防士が現場に駆けつけたところ、何者かが消防士に向けて銃を発砲したということです。
これまでに少なくとも2人の死亡が確認され、いずれも消防士とみられるということです。
会見で捜査当局は「こうして話している間にも、現場では狙撃を受けている」と述べて銃撃が続いているとしていましたが、その後、山の中で武器と男の遺体を発見したと発表し、周辺の住民に出していた安全確保の呼びかけを解除しました。
今後、男の身元の確認や動機などについて捜査を進めるとみられます。
