千葉 銚子を題材の絵本 市民グループが制作 鉄道や灯台が舞台
子どもたちに本に親しんでもらおうと、千葉県銚子市の市民グループが地元を舞台にした絵本を制作し、5日、読み聞かせ会が開かれました。
銚子市の元教員などでつくるNPO法人はおととしから地元を題材にした絵本作りを進めていて、このほど新たに2冊の絵本を制作し、5日にお披露目を兼ねた読み聞かせ会を市内で開きました。
このうち「潮風のパンやさん」は、銚子市に住む主人公が子どものころから憧れていたパン屋を始める物語です。
市内を走るローカル鉄道や観光客に人気の灯台などが舞台となっていて、絵本を制作したメンバーが読み聞かせると、訪れた子どもたちは慣れ親しんだ地元の風景を思い浮かべながら楽しんでいる様子でした。
今回完成した絵本は市内の学校などに寄贈されるということです。
絵本の作者で市内の小学校の元校長の長谷川育子さんは「真剣に聞いてくれてうれしかった。たくさんの子どもたちに読んでほしいと思います」と話していました。
NPO法人「BeCOM」代表の西田美樹さんは「子どもたちには地元にいろいろな人が暮らしていることを想像するきっかけにしてほしい」と話していました。
