11年前の承諾殺人事件 当初“自殺”判断 神奈川県警が遺族に謝罪

8年前と11年前、20代の女性2人をそれぞれ同意を得て殺害したとして32歳の被告が承諾殺人の罪に問われている事件で、このうち11年前の事件で捜査にあたった神奈川県警は当初、自殺と判断したことについて「捜査が不十分で事件性を見抜けなかった」として遺族に謝罪したことを明らかにしました。

さいたま市の無職、齋藤純被告（32）が8年前茨城県の当時21歳の女性に同意を得て睡眠薬を飲ませ、首を絞めて殺害したとして承諾殺人の罪に問われている裁判では、今月18日の初公判で、11年前にも横浜市の当時22歳の女性を同じような方法で殺害したとして追起訴したことを検察が明らかにしました。

また、法廷では、11年前の事件について、被告が横浜市の女性に遺書を書かせて自殺を装うなどしていて、捜査にあたった神奈川県警が当初、自殺と判断していたことも明らかにされました。

これについて神奈川県警は当時の対応について改めて確認した結果、「捜査が不十分で事件性が見抜けなかった」などとして、捜査1課の澁谷祐司課長が22日、女性の遺族に面会して謝罪したことを23日明らかにしました。
