日大重量挙げ部 元監督を再逮捕 保護者に対し口止めか
日本大学重量挙げ部の元監督が特待生として入部予定の高校生の保護者から現金をだまし取ったとして逮捕された事件で、元監督が保護者に対して「騒ぎになれば約束した特待は受けられなくなる」などと口止めしていたとみられることが捜査関係者への取材で分かりました。警視庁は30日元監督を再逮捕してさらに詳しい経緯を調べています。
日本大学重量挙げ部の元監督、難波謙二容疑者（64）は、令和5年度に入学金や授業料が減免される特待生として入部が決まっていた高校3年生の保護者4人に「減免は2年目以降」などと説明するうその書類を送り、現金205万円をだまし取ったとして今月逮捕されました。
警視庁は30日、元監督が同様の手口で昨年度入学した部員の保護者4人からも合わせて262万円をだまし取っていたとして再逮捕しました。
警視庁によりますと元監督は保護者からだまし取った金を研究室の引き出しで保管し、飲食代や歯の治療など私的に流用する一方、一部は、請求を不審に感じ問い合わせてきた保護者への返金にも回していたとみられるということです。
また返金の際、「だましたわけではない。騒ぎになってしまえば自分はクビになり、特待生の約束も守れなくなるかもしれない」などと言って口止めしていたとみられることが捜査関係者への取材で分かりました。
警視庁は元監督が不正に受け取った総額がこの10年間でおよそ3800万円にのぼるとみて、さらに詳しい経緯を調べています。
元監督は調べに対し、容疑を否認しているということです。
