15歳の男子高校生が生成AIなどで自作したプログラムで、おもちゃメーカー最大手の「バンダイナムコホールディングス」の子会社が運営する動画配信サービスにサイバー攻撃を行い、4万6000人あまりの会員を勝手に退会させたとして警視庁に逮捕されました。

警視庁によりますと、去年11月、「バンダイナムコホールディングス」の子会社のサーバーに、サイバー攻撃を行い、動画配信サービス「バンダイチャンネル」の会員4万6000人あまりを勝手に退会させたとして業務妨害の疑いが持たれています。

これまでの調べで生徒は、会社のサーバーのぜい弱性を見つけたあと自作したサイバー攻撃のプログラムを生成AIを使ってより高度なものにして悪用していたとみられています。

警視庁は会員である他人のアカウントでサービスにログインしていたとして不正アクセス禁止法違反の疑いで先月、生徒を逮捕し、捜査を進めていました。

調べに対し、容疑を認めたうえで、「会社に恨みはなかった。独学で情報処理の能力を身につけ、通信内容を解析するのが趣味だった」などと供述しているということです。

サイバー攻撃を受けた会社は、1か月あまりにわたるサービスの停止や影響が出た会員への返金対応などを強いられました。
