ヤフージャパンは、「Yahoo!きっず」を12月4日にサービス終了すると発表した。サービスは12月3日までこれまで通り利用でき、翌4日に終了する。
Yahoo!きっずは、子どもたちの「知りたい」を応援するサービスとして29年間提供されてきた。調べものに利用できるほか、ゲームで遊んだり、タイピングに挑戦したりできるコンテンツを展開してきた。
サービス終了を前に、11月にはYahoo!きっずでの思い出を振り返る特別ページを公開する予定。
Yahoo!きっずの終了は、子どもたちのインターネット利用環境の変化を踏まえ、LINEヤフーが取り組む青少年保護やリテラシー教育について、その提供方法を見直したことによるもの。LINEヤフーとして、子どもたちが安心してデジタル社会を生きていくための支援は、今後も継続するとしている。
