白血病治療の患者死亡や重体 上野厚生労働大臣 “指導・監督にあたるさいたま市と連携し適切に対応”
さいたま市の埼玉県立小児医療センターで、白血病の治療中だった10代の患者が死亡し、2人が意識不明の重体となっていることについて、上野厚生労働大臣は、病院の指導・監督にあたるさいたま市と連携して、状況を把握し、適切に対応していく考えを示しました。
埼玉県立小児医療センターでは、去年10月までのおよそ9か月間に、白血病の3人の患者が抗がん剤の投与を受けたあと、歩行が難しくなるなどの神経症状が出て、このうち10代の男性が死亡し、10歳未満の男の子と10代の男性の2人が意識不明の重体となっています。
上野厚生労働大臣は13日、閣議のあとの記者会見で「亡くなられた方へお悔やみを申し上げるとともに、ご遺族や現在治療を受けている方とそのご家族にお見舞いを申し上げたい」と述べました。
そのうえで上野大臣は、現時点では原因などが明らかになっておらず、関係機関によって事実関係の調査が進められているとして、病院の指導・監督にあたるさいたま市と連携して、状況を把握し、適切に対応していく考えを示しました。
