OAOは、新作サンダル「BRAID（ブレイド）」を5月23日（土）より発売する。また、6月6日（土）には、表参道のセレクトショップ「CIBONE」内に常設スペース「OAO HAUS ANNEX」がオープン。新作をはじめ、ブランドの世界観を体感できる新たな拠点として展開される。

「BRAID」は、ナイロン糸によるネットアッパーにレザーを編み込んだフィッシュネットサンダル。透け感のある構造は、足元を風が抜けるような高い通気性を確保しながら、レザーラインによって適度なホールド感も実現している。開放感のある見た目と安定した履き心地を両立したデザインが特徴だ。足を包み込みながらも重さを感じさせないフォルムは、リゾートシーンを想起させつつ、都市生活にも馴染むバランスに仕上げられている。

ソールには軽量なラバー素材を採用。長時間の着用でも負担が少なく、タウンユースだけでなく、旅先やリゾート、室内履きなど幅広いシーンで活躍する仕様となっている。近年はサンダルにも快適性や機能性が求められる中、「BRAID」はファッション性と実用性を両立。夏の足元に抜け感を加える一足として注目したい。表参道・CIBONEで「OAO HAUS ANNEX」が始動

6月6日（土）からは、東京・表参道の複合型セレクトショップCIBONE内に「OAO HAUS ANNEX」がオープンする。「SATELLITE STRUCTURE」をコンセプトに掲げ、OAOの思想や世界観を届ける新たなタッチポイントとして機能。予約不要で来場可能となり、「BRAID」のほか、人気モデル「SUNLIGHT」「SUNLIGHT PRIMA FLAT」、一部直営店限定アイテムも展開予定だ。また、オープンを記念して商品購入者にはオリジナルトートバッグを数量限定で配布する。

今回設置される什器は、代官山フラッグシップストアを起点に設計された移動可能な構造。神社における“分霊”の考え方から着想を得ており、ブランドの思想や空間体験そのものを別の場所へ広げていく装置として機能するという。固定店舗ではなく、場所ごとに姿を変えながら現れる“移動する拠点”。OAO HAUS ANNEXは単なる販売スペースではなく、プロダクトとブランドの思想を体感できる新しい場となりそうだ。
