兵庫の中世豪族の民家2棟 新たに国宝指定へ 文化庁の審議会
中世の豪族が建てた民家で、いずれも兵庫県にある、「箱木家住宅主屋」と「旧古井家住宅」の2棟が、国宝に指定されることになりました。
文化庁の文化審議会は22日、兵庫県内にある2件の建造物を新たに国宝に指定するよう答申しました。
このうち、神戸市にある「箱木家住宅主屋」は、14世紀ごろに豪族が建てた、かやぶき屋根の民家で、床や戸板には大工道具で削った形跡など、今でも建設当時の状況がうかがえます。
また、姫路市の「旧古井家住宅」は、四方が土壁で塗り固められ、出入り口や窓が少ない、15世紀ごろの豪農の住宅の特徴を残しています。
いずれも古い歴史を持つ「千年家」とも呼ばれていて、中世の豪族の住生活を知る、極めて意義がある建造物と評価されました。
このほか重要文化財には、日本神話などを巧みな彫刻技術で表現した、埼玉県川越市の「氷川神社本殿」や、明治中期に建造された現役最古の鉄製の灯台、新潟県佐渡市の「姫埼灯台」など、6件が新たに指定されます。
