金沢 雪の重みから木の枝守る「雪吊り」 取り外す作業始まる
金沢市では、冬の間、雪の重みから木の枝を守ってきた、「雪吊り」を取り外す作業が始まりました。
「雪吊り」は、冬の間、雪の重みで木の枝が折れないよう縄で補強するもので、金沢市では10日から公園や市道の樹木で取り外しが始まりました。
このうち金沢駅東口の観光名所「鼓門」前では、委託業者の作業員7人が高さおよそ6メートルのクロマツの木で作業にあたりました。
作業員たちは木に結んだ縄をはさみを使って丁寧に取り除いたあと、木の幹に沿って立てられた竹の支柱を手際よく運び出していました。
作業の様子を写真に収めていたオーストラリア人の女性は「地元は雪があまり降らないので見たことがありませんでしたが、細かい作業ですばらしいです」と話していました。
金沢市では、2週間ほどかけて、高さ3メートル以上のおよそ600本の木と、およそ5万5000株の低木に施された、「雪吊り」を取り外すことにしています。
金沢市「緑と花の課」の角紹太郎 技師は「高い場所での作業になるので、けが人が出ないよう安全対策を徹底したい」と話していました。
