緊急対策必要な下水道管 全国に約72km 国交省が調査結果を公表
国土交通省は、ことし1月に埼玉県八潮市で起きた道路の陥没を受けて、全国の自治体に要請した下水道管の特別調査の結果を17日、明らかにしました。
重度の腐食や破損が確認されるなどして1年以内の速やかな対策が必要とされた下水道管は、35の都道府県で合わせておよそ72キロメートルに及ぶとしています。
埼玉県八潮市の大規模な道路陥没は、地中にある下水道管が下水から発生する硫化水素で腐食したことが原因で起きたとみられています。
国土交通省は、道路陥没を受けてことし3月、下水道管の状態を確認する「全国特別重点調査」の実施を各自治体に要請していて、このうち、下水道管の構造が八潮市の現場と似ているなどとして優先的に調査した場所の結果を17日、専門家による委員会に報告しました。
それによりますと、重度の腐食や破損が確認されるなどして原則、1年以内の速やかな対策が必要とされる「緊急度※1」と判定された下水道管は、35都道府県の71の自治体で合わせておよそ72キロメートルに上るということです。
都道府県別では
▽愛知県がおよそ14キロと最も長く
次いで
▽茨城県がおよそ10.5キロ
▽大阪府がおよそ9.5キロ
▽広島県がおよそ5.2キロ
▽埼玉県がおよそ4.4キロとなっています。
また、中程度の腐食や破損が確認されるなどして5年以内の対策が必要とされる「緊急度※2」と判定された下水道管は、36都道府県の83の自治体で合わせておよそ225キロメートルだということです。
これらの下水道管のうち、
▽北海道北見市の1か所と
▽新潟市の2か所
▽熊本県玉名市の3か所の
合わせて6か所では、周辺の地中に空洞が確認されたということです。
このうち、北見市と玉名市の4か所は空洞を埋めるなどの対策を終えていて、新潟市の2か所については、空洞の大きさなどから道路が陥没する可能性は低いものの、早急に対策を行う予定だとしています。
国土交通省は、腐食や破損が確認された下水道管の対策として、
▽破損した場所を塞ぐほか
▽下水道管の内側に新しい管を設置する「更生工法」と呼ばれる手法などが有効だとしていて、各自治体に技術や財政面などで支援を行っていくとしています。
一方、今回の優先調査以外の結果については、来年2月ごろまでに結果を報告するよう求めています。
