東京 品川区「朝の小1の壁」対策で登校時間より早く学校開放
子どもが小学生になると仕事と育児の両立が難しくなるいわゆる「朝の小1の壁」の対策として、東京 品川区で登校時間より早く学校で児童を受け入れる取り組みが始まりました。
子どもが小学生になると、登校時間が保育園より遅くなり親の働き方に影響が出たり、子どもが登校時間まで1人にならざるを得なくなったりすることから、「朝の小1の壁」と呼ばれています。
こうした課題に対応しようと、品川区では26日から区立小学校の一部で、登校時間よりも早い時間帯に学校を開放し、児童らを受け入れる取り組みを始めました。
このうち、区立戸越小学校では、本来の登校時間より30分早い午前7時半になると、事前に利用登録していた児童らが次々と登校してきていました。
そして、児童らは区が委託したシルバー人材センターのスタッフが見守る中、教室が開く午前8時ごろまで、多目的室で、読書や自習などをして静かに過ごしていました。
区では、ことしの秋をめどに、すべての区立小学校でこの取り組みを開始することにしていて、一部の学校では、希望する児童にパンなどの朝食を無料で提供する予定です。
品川区の森澤恭子区長は「朝早く利用したいとの声もいただいていた中で、今回スタートした。行政として働く保護者らをサポートしていきたい」と話していました。
