アルテミスII、月面の高解像度写真公開　宇宙での皆既日食も

NASAは、アルテミスII計画で行なわれている試験飛行において、オリオン宇宙船が月面をフライバイした際に宇宙飛行士らが撮影した画像を多数公開した。 4月6日(米国時間)、7時間に渡って月面の裏側をフライバイした際に撮影されたもので、最接近時は月面から約6,400kmまで接近した。宇宙飛行士らは数千枚の写真を撮影し、その中から一部をNASAがWebページで公開している。既に試験飛行は半分以上の行程を終えており、地球への帰路についている段階で、写真は今後数日でさらに追加で公開される予定。 月面フライバイ中には、衝突クレーター、古代の溶岩流、月面の亀裂などを記録し、科学者達が月の地質学的進化を研究する資料を提供する。宇宙飛行士らは、地形全体の色や明るさ、質感の違いを観測し、地球の様子や太陽コロナの日食の様子も撮影。また、暗くなった月面に6つの流星体が衝突した閃光も報告している。
