選挙運動のあり方を議論する与野党の協議会は、選挙でのSNSの利用実態などについて大手IT企業からヒアリングを行い、偽情報や誤情報への対策をめぐり、意見を交わしました。
選挙運動のあり方を議論する与野党9党の実務者による協議会は、先の衆議院選挙のあと、初めての会合を開きました。
23日は、「インスタグラム」や「TikTok」を運営する企業から、SNSが衆議院選挙でどのように利用されたかなどについて聴き取りました。
この中で、企業側は、偽情報や誤情報が拡散される実態を説明し、対策をめぐって意見を交わしました。
このあと、自民党の実務者を務める逢沢 元国会対策委員長は記者団に対し「選挙の健全性や公正さを確保するうえで、SNSの悪用や誤情報、偽情報の拡散が大きな影響を与えているのも事実だ。この問題について、しっかり検討を加速させ、スピード感を持って議論していく」と述べました。
