アメリカの大手EV＝電気自動車メーカー「テスラ」の先月までの3か月間の決算では、最終的な利益が去年の同じ時期と比べて43％の大幅な減少となりました。

テスラが21日に発表したことし7月から先月までの3か月間の決算では、売り上げが280億4600万ドル、日本円にしておよそ4兆4000億円で去年の同じ時期からほぼ横ばいだった一方、最終的な利益は43％減少して7億8700万ドル、日本円にして1200億円余りとなりました。

大幅な減益となった要因としては、EVの販売台数が減少したことに加え、AIやロボット開発への投資が膨らんだことが挙げられます。

イーロン・マスクCEOは、前日に同じく自身がトップを務め、宇宙開発やAI事業を展開する「スペースX」との経営統合を検討するための特別委員会を両社がそれぞれ設置したことを明らかにしていました。

これについて、マスクCEOは電話による決算説明会で「きのう、話すべきことはすべて話したつもりだ」と述べるにとどめ、両社のCEOであり、大株主でもあることを念頭に自身は慎重に発言するべきとの考えを示しました。
