G-SHOCK MR-Gフロッグマン新作 世界最大のカエルがモチーフ
カシオ計算機は、G-SHOCK最高峰のダイバーズウォッチ「MR-G FROGMAN」の新作として、世界最大のカエル「ゴライアスガエル」をモチーフにした「MRG-BF1000RG」を5月23日に発売する。価格は572,000円。

「MRG-BF1000RG」は、アフリカ西部の熱帯雨林に生息する世界最大のカエル「ゴライアスガエル」をイメージ。秘境に挑む冒険心もカラーやデザインで表現した。柔らかく伸縮性の高いフッ素ラバー素材を採用したデュラソフトバンドは、「ゴライアスガエル」の背面の色をイメージしたカーキになっている。インデックスは腹面の色をイメージしたベージュ。チタン製のスクリューバックには「ゴライアスガエル」の瞳をイメージしたという鮮やかなグリーン蒸着のサファイアガラスを搭載する。
ベースになっている「MRG-BF1000R」は、ダイバーズウォッチとしてISO規格の200m潜水用防水に対応。ケース、ベゼル、裏蓋、りゅうず、ボタン、ビスまで主要な外装パーツにチタンを採用する、MR-G独自のフルメタル構造が特徴になっている。70以上のパーツに分割されており、ベゼルとケースの間のプロテクト構造にはフッ素ラバー製の緩衝体が用いられる。りゅうずやボタン部には独自開発のクラックガード構造と保護パーツが組み込まれる。りゅうずは気密性に優れるねじロック式で、ロック時はMR-Gの刻印が常に水平をキープする特殊構造になっている。
大型のインデックスに対し蓄光塗料のネオブライトが塗布される。蓄光塗料は熟練職人による手塗りで、塗膜が厚く、鮮やかな光を放つとしている。ダイヤルにはLEDライトのスーパーイルミネーターも装備される。風防は内面反射防止コーティングのサファイアガラス。
電波受信とBluetoothによるスマートフォン連携(CASIO WATCHESアプリ)で時刻の修正が可能。アプリ「CASIO WATCHES」ではワールドタイム約300都市の設定のほか、ダイビングログ、タイドポイント設定、時計ステータス表示、セルフチェックなどが可能。
耐衝撃構造で、JIS1種の耐磁時計。ダイビング機能、タイドグラフ、デュアルタイム、ストップウォッチ、タイマー、時刻アラーム、LEDライト、日付・曜日表示の各機能を搭載。本体サイズは56×49.7×18.6mm、重量は約132g。
