日本を代表するラゲージブランドである「ポーター」。世界的な認知度も年々高まる中、昨年には、東レと協業し世界で初めて100%植物由来ナイロンの量産化に成功。代表的なシリーズである「タンカー」は、この100%植物由来のナイロンを使用して生まれ変わった。ウォレットは、英国の老舗ホイッスルブランドに特注した引き手の「トーン」シリーズに注目したい。他にもファッション性の高いビビッドな限定カラーのアイテムなど、今季も幅広いラインナップで魅了する。
■TANKER RUCKSACK(L)
100％植物由来のナイロンを採用し、生まれ変わったポーターの代表シリーズ「タンカー」。昨年末、待望のブラックカラーが登場した。こちらは迫力のある3つのスクエア型ポケットが特徴的なアイテム。W30×H42×D16cmと大容量で、ノートPCを持ち運んでのデイリーユースはもちろん、トラベルバッグとしても活躍する。背面には芯材を入れて、背中のフィット感と自立性を向上させた。ちなみにフラップのポケットは脱着式で、取り外してストラップをつければミニショルダーとしても使用可能だ。
■TONE BILL WALLET
シリーズ名を象徴するバイカラーのデザインと、高い実用性が融合したウォレットシリーズ「 トーン」。引き手がホイッスルになっているのも特徴のひとつ。メイン素材にはシボのある柔らかなシュリンクレザーを使用し、使うほどにエイジングも楽しめる。大きさはW17.5×H9.2×D2.3cmで、紙幣もカードもたっぷりと入れられる収納力の高さも魅力。一般的なロングウォレットよりもやや小ぶりにデザインされているので、ミニバッグなどにも収まりがいいのもポイントだ。
■TONE TINY PURSE
こちらも「トーン」シリーズからの一品。W8.5×H9.7×D2.4cmという手のひらに収まるコンパクトなサイズのウォレットは、カードや紙幣を取り出しやすい設計でデザイン。引き手のホイッスルは、1870年創業の英国の老舗ホイッスルブランド「ACME WHISTLES」に特注したPORTERオリジナルのものとなっている。レザーの質感やゴールドのブランドロゴなど、小ぶりながらしっかりと高級感があるのも魅力。
■BALLOONSAC SODA BLUE
巾着袋をモチーフにしたアイテム「バルーンサック」。こちらはソーダのような透明感とさわやかさを意識した限定カラー「ソーダ ブルー」。素材には綿ボンディング加工を施したナイロン生地を採用し、落ち着いた光沢と柔らかな風合いを兼ね備えている。取り外し可能なハンドルとショルダーストラップが付属し、手持ちでも肩掛けでも使用できる2WAY仕様。サイズはW22×H29×D13cmと、スマートフォンと財布を入れても余裕があるのが嬉しい。
