東京～有楽町で自動運転バス運行　予約不要・運賃無料

東京都は東京駅周辺において、レベル2(運転手搭乗型)による自動運転バスを、6月23日から7月2日まで運行する。事前予約不要、運賃無料で乗車できる。 大丸有地区(大手町・丸の内・有楽町)で、丸の内シャトルと同様のルートを運行する。運行時間は平日が10時～12時30分、13時30分～16時50分頃、休日が11時～13時30分、14時30分～17時50分頃。時刻表はなく、運行時間帯に約40～50分間隔で巡回する。 車両は「BYD J6」、乗車定員は16名。満員の場合は乗車できない可能性がある。また、乗車した人のアンケート調査を実施する。乗車方法や運行時間等の詳細については、5月中旬を目途に特設ホームページに掲載し、随時更新する。 バスなど公共交通においては運転手不足による減便等が課題となっており、解決する手段の一つとして自動運転サービスの導入が期待されている。こういった背景から今回、地元自治体・交通事業者と連携し、レベル2自動運転バスの実証運行を実施する。東京都では、東京における自動運転レベル4等の先進モビリティサービスの実現・普及を図るための取り組みを行なっており、その一環となる。 運行に関する運営は日本工営、車両提供は先進モビリティ、協力は千代田区、大手町・丸の内・有楽町地区まちづくり協議会、運行支援は日の丸自動車興業。
