iPhone向けサードパーティ アプリストア「あっぷアリーナ!」 BBSS
BBSSは、サードパーティ アプリストア「あっぷアリーナ!」(iOS版)を提供開始した。Aptoideとのパートナーシップにより開発したサービスで、国内外のゲームタイトルをラインアップする。
専門編集チームによるゲーム解説記事の定期配信や、アプリ内課金に応じたポイント還元機能を備える。
特徴の1つが「15分お試しプレー」機能。ゲームを端末へダウンロードせず、クラウド上で即座に15分間プレイできる。端末ストレージを消費せず、タイトルの内容を試したうえで継続利用を判断できる仕組み。
提供開始時点の主なタイトルとして、「スクイーズキャッツ」「All-in-One Mahjong」「All-in-One Solitaire」「Find The Nut」を用意する。海外で評価を得た日本初上陸作品や、インディー作品を含む構成としている。
サービス開始を記念したオープニングキャンペーンも実施する。期間は3月31日から終了日未定で、アプリ内課金時のポイント還元率を通常5%から10%に引き上げる。
BBSSはソフトバンクグループでセキュリティソリューションやプラットフォーム事業を展開する企業。今回のサービスは、ポルトガルのアプリストア事業者Aptoideとの連携により提供開始した。スマホソフトウェア競争促進法(スマホ新法)を背景に、iPhone向けアプリストアの開設が可能になったことを受けた動きの1つ。
