Googleは22日、iPhoneからAndroidへスムーズに乗り換えられる機能を拡大すると発表した。Android 17に新しいネイティブ移行機能を導入し、移行用のアプリは不要で、さまざまなデータを無線接続で移行できる。一部のPixelシリーズ向けに展開されるほか、サムスンから発表された新しいGalaxy Zシリーズでも利用できるようになる。新しい移行機能は、写真、動画、連絡先、メッセージ、カレンダーといった重要なデータに加えて、Googleアカウント、パスワード、Wi-Fi認証情報、eSIMも新たに移行対象としてサポートされている。この移行機能は一部のPixelシリーズ向けに展開を開始。新しい「Galaxy Z Flip8」と「Galaxy Z Fold8」シリーズにも展開される。今後も多くのAndroidスマートフォンで利用できるようになる見込みとしている。
