X、英語から日本語に自動翻訳開始 「歴史上最大の文化交流」
Xにおいて、英語から日本語へ自動翻訳する機能が3月30日からスタートした。数日前から日本語を英語に自動翻訳する機能が展開されていたが、英語から日本語への自動翻訳も行なうようになった。
これまでもXのアプリでは、Grokによる翻訳機能を備えていたが、[翻訳を表示]ボタンをタップする必要があった。新機能ではタイムラインに流れてくる投稿が自動で翻訳されるため、元は英語の投稿でも日本語の投稿のように読めるようになる。
Xのプロダクト責任者であるNikita Bier氏は、「歴史上最大の文化交流がまさに始まった」(The largest cultural exchange in history just dropped.)と投稿。イーロン・マスク氏も「これは長年の目標だった」と投稿している。

自動で翻訳しないようにする場合は、オフの設定も可能。投稿の[翻訳を表示]から「英語を自動翻訳する」をOFFにすることで、翻訳しない設定も可能となる。
