NPO法人エル・コミュニティは3月24日、中・高・高専生対象のサイバーセキュリティ教育プログラム「CyberSakura（サイバーサクラ）」の第3回の決勝ラウンド最終結果を発表した。
「CyberSakura」は、AFA（AIR ＆ SPACE FORCES ASSOCIATION：米国空軍協会）が開発し、ノースロップ・グラマン社が主催するサイバーセキュリティ教育プログラム「CyberPatriot」の日本大会で、競技用に配付されるVM内に用意された「フォレンジック問題」「課題OSの脆弱性発見と修正」各課題に取り組む。福井県鯖江市のNPO法人エルコミュニティが主催し、同じく福井県のITベンチャー企業である株式会社ict4eが技術支援を行っている。
参加資格は開催年度時点で中学1年生から高校3年生または高等専門学校3年生であること。全国の中・高・高専生が3～4人でチームを結成し、仮想環境でセキュリティの脆弱性を発見修正を行いスコアを競い合う。なお参加者が未成年のため、20歳以上の成人の指導者が保護者として必ず帯同して競技会が行われる。第3回となる今大会から、1人でも参加可能な（最大4人）エントリー部門が設けられ6チームのエントリーがあった。
CyberSakuraは競技であると同時に、それ以上に中・高・高専生へのセキュリティ倫理や技術教育イベントとしての面を併せ持つ。概要説明会を経て、事前に自習用教材として技術や倫理に関する複数冊のPDFのテキストブックが配付される他、セキュリティエンジニアによる講演や VMware講習会など、初学者が参加しやすい工夫がなされ、参加にあたって遵守するルールも制定されている。
CyberSakura第3回参加34チーム総勢116人は、2023年12月10日までの自習・プラクティスラウンド・チャレンジラウンド・予選ラウンドを経て、スコア上位の5チームが、2024年3月24日に鯖江市で開催された決勝ラウンドで覇を競った。決勝参加5チームの旅費交通費は運営から至急された。
決勝に進出した上位5チームは下記の通り。

決勝ラウンドでの4時間の競技の結果、2023年第3回の1位から3位は下記のチームとなった。

第2位：八咫烏 / 武蔵高等学校中学校（東京）スコア 158
第3位：亀有STORK MK II / ココロエデュケーションラボ（東京）スコア 139
京都府立嵯峨野高等学校のHEXAGONは、CyberSakura開催初の公立高校の優勝校となった。2位「八咫烏」の武蔵高等学校中学校は、第1回「福龍」第2回「白雉」と毎大会チーム名を変えて出場、三大会連続決勝進出を果たしたが惜しくも昨年に続く連続優勝は逃した。
なお、2022年に行われた第2回は全国から19チーム74名の中高生が参加、決勝ラウンドの順位は下記の通り。
