JR東海、飯田線でPayPay導入 川路～宮木間
JR東海は、ワンマン列車におけるスムーズな運賃収受に向けた検証のため、飯田線の川路～宮木間においてPayPay導入の実証実験を実施する。期間は8月1日から10月31日。
飯田線 川路～宮木間の駅で降車する際の車内での運賃収受が対象。飯田駅、伊那市駅は対象区間内だが、駅係員配置駅のため対象外。また、ワンマン列車が対象で、車掌が乗務する列車は対象外となる。
決済方法はユーザスキャン方式で、運転士が提示するQRコードを読み取って決済を行なう。
現金での支払いも従来通り利用可能で、PayPayで支払う場合には運転士に申告する。QRコードを読み取った後は、車両最前部の運賃表示器で乗車駅からの運賃を確認し、アプリに支払い金額を入力して、運転士に画面を提示した上で決済する。
実証実験を通じて、利用者の利便性や乗務員の業務、列車運行への影響を調査する。
