ファミマ、5年間でレジ袋118億枚を削減
ファミリーマートは、2020年7月のレジ袋有料化以降、5年間で累計118億枚のレジ袋を削減したと発表。また、Earth hacksが提供する脱炭素効果を指標化した「デカボスコア」対象商品を12品へ拡大した。

デカボは、脱炭素を意味する「デカボナイゼーション」の略称。デカボスコアはEarth hacksが提供する指標で、製品やサービスのCO2排出量(CO2e、温室効果ガス相当量)の削減率をスコア化したもの。Earth hacksによると、レジ袋を購入せずにマイバッグを使用するとCO2排出量を59%削減でき、デカボスコアも59%となる。
ファミリーマートでは、デカボスコアの導入により対象品のCO2削減率が明確になり、レジ袋を控えるのと同じく、購入する商品を「デカボスコア」対象品から選ぶことで、CO2削減に貢献できるとする。
デカボスコア対象商品はこれまで、使用済みのペットボトルを100%リサイクルして作ったリサイクルペットボトルを使用したPB天然水「ファミマル 新潟県津南の天然水 600ml」があったが、7月からは12品に拡大。
紙カップ＋環境配慮印刷を採用した「ファミマ!!店舗 アイスコーヒー・アイスカフェラテ」(デカボスコア76%)、プラスチック容器から紙容器へ変更した「もちもち餃子と春雨の旨塩スープ(スープ各種)」(デカボスコア36%)、プラスチックから木製素材に変更した「ファミマカフェ 木製マドラー」(デカボスコア72%)などが新たに対象となる。
