警察と消防が捜索したところ、岸から300メートルほど離れた海の中で男性が意識がない状態で見つかり、搬送先の病院で死亡が確認されました。
警察によりますと、亡くなったのはベトナム国籍で観音寺市に住むチャン・シュー・マインさん（20）で、職場の同僚2人と1日午後6時ごろに海水浴場を訪れていたということです。
