英語圏で人気の掲示板「Reddit」に、キャベツなど3つの野菜の写真が投稿されました。しかしよく見ると、葉に不自然なツヤがあります。というのも、実はこれ、チョコレートでコーティングされたケーキ。実際の写真に、「どうやったの！？」「才能ありすぎ」などの声が寄せられています。

英語圏で人気の掲示板Redditに投稿された写真に写っているのは、鮮やかな緑色のキャベツ。その手前には、赤紫色の「トレビス」と、クリーム色のイタリア野菜「カステルフランコ」が並んでいます。よく見てみると、それぞれ葉に少しツヤがあることがわかります。実はこれ、本物の野菜ではなく、精巧に作られたケーキなのです。

投稿者によると、このリアルな質感は、本物の葉にホワイトチョコレートをコーティングして再現しているそうです。トレビスの場合は、その上からさらに紫色のチョコレートを重ねているのだとか。チョコレートが固まってから葉を剥がすことで、本物そっくりの仕上がりになるといいます。最後に、この本物そっくりのチョコレートの葉でケーキを包み、完成です。
