JR東のQR乗車「えきねっとQチケ」、東京都区内も対応
JR東日本は、東北エリアから開始しているQRコード乗車サービス「えきねっとQチケ」について、10月1日から東北新幹線のエリアを拡大、東京都区内も対応する。東北エリアから首都圏への利用が便利になるとする。

提供エリアの拡大計画はすでに示されており、「2025年度下期」と案内されていた東北新幹線(郡山～東京)と東京都区内のエリア拡大が、10月1日に決定した。今後、2026年度下期には上信越エリアと上越・北陸新幹線(大宮～新潟、高崎～上越妙高)が追加され、2026年度末にJR東日本エリア全域へ拡大予定。
「えきねっとQチケ」は、Suicaエリア外でもチケットレスで乗車できるサービス。Webサイトまたはスマートフォンアプリ「えきねっとチケットレスアプリ」を利用して事前に申込むことで、きっぷの代わりになる「乗車用QRコード」が発行される。在来線も新幹線もひとつのQRコードで乗車でき、シームレスに利用できる。自動改札機のない駅は、チケットの利用開始・終了をユーザー自身で操作する「セルフチェックイン・チェックアウト」機能を利用可能。対応駅では、自動改札機にQRコードをかざして通過する。
利用の一部はJRE POINTの付与の対象。新幹線の特急料金・グリーン料金に対し2%が、在来線特急の特急料金・グリーン料金に対し5%が付与される。
「えきねっとQチケ」は、ほかの乗車券(Suica各種や紙のきっぷ)と併用できない。JR東は便利な利用シーンとして、Suicaサービスエリア外や自動改札機が無い駅から乗車し、「えきねっとQチケ」のエリアで利用が完結する(降車する)利用の仕方を挙げている。
