セイコーウオッチは、「グランドセイコー」の新型ダイバーズウォッチ「Ushio 300 Diver」を6月5日に発売する。スプリングドライブの腕時計で、価格は165万円。 年差±20秒という高精度ムーブメントを搭載し、グランドセイコーのダイバーズウオッチで最小のケース径40.8mmのサイズを実現した。ブルー(SLGB023)とグリーン(SLGB025)の2色がラインナップされる。島国である日本を取り巻く潮流の躍動感がテーマで、「Ushio」(潮)と名付けられた。 外観は視認性と堅牢さ、美しさを磨き上げたというデザインが特徴。ダイヤルは、潮の流れを型打ちパターンとカラーグラデーションで表現した。インデックスはダイヤモンドカットで輝き、12時位置は識別しやすいよう特に存在感を高めたデザイン。 時分針は形状を明確に分けて、一目で時刻を読み取れるデザインにしている。秒針の反対側には、セイコーのダイバーズウォッチの伝統的なデザインとして、ムーブメントが止まらずに動いていることを暗闇でも判別しやすくする夜光塗料付きのマーカーが備わっている。 ブレスレットのバックル(中留)には、微調整機構つきスライドロックエクステンダー方式を採用。2mm×3段階で計6mmの調整が可能なほか、ダイビング向けのエクステンダー部分でさらに18mm拡張でき、合計24mmの調整が可能になっている。GSロゴの入ったワッペン部分には中留開閉のロック機能も搭載する。 ムーブメントは新たなスプリングドライブムーブメント「キャリバー9RB1」で、従来の「キャリバー9RB2」から日付表示を省き、裏側のパワーリザーブ表示をダイヤル側に配した仕様となる。パワーリザーブは約72時間。石数は33石。 「9RB2」が実現しているスプリングドライブU.F.A.(Ultra Fine Accuracy)の性能を継承。3カ月のエージングを経た高精度水晶振動子が温度補正ICとともに真空密封されており、ぜんまいを動力源とするムーブメントとして世界最高の年差±20秒(平均月差±3秒相当、腕に着けた場合)を実現する。 ケース・ブレスレットはブライトチタン製で、ザラツ研磨を駆使して仕上げられる。防水性能は300m空気潜水用防水。風防は内面無反射コーティングのサファイアガラス。ケース径は40.8mm、厚さは12.9mm。
