甘み増す「雪貯蔵りんご」掘り出す催し 青森 黒石
雪の中で貯蔵されたりんごを掘り出す催しが青森県の八甲田山系で行われ、参加者が甘みの増したりんごの味を楽しみました。
この催しは、青森市の青果会社などが八甲田山系にある黒石市の標高およそ750メートルの高原で毎年行っていて、26日はツアー客などおよそ30人が参加しました。
はじめに4メートルあまり積もった雪を重機で崩したあと、あわせて3万個の「サンふじ」が貯蔵された木箱の周りの雪をスコップで取り除きました。
そして、木箱を開けると真っ赤に色づいたりんごが姿を現しました。
りんごは温度と湿度が一定の雪の中でおよそ2か月間貯蔵され、通常よりも甘みが増しているということで、参加者は雪の季節ならではの味を楽しんでいました。
奈良県から参加した20代の女性は「普段食べるりんごよりも蜜がある気がします。とてもみずみずしくておいしいです」と話していました。
掘り出されたりんごは、27日から全国のスーパーなどで販売されるということです。
